Thinkubator Media’s goal is to promote and support women in STEM. And while we offer a variety of workshops and single-day training sessions, our ability to transform people and individuals extends well beyond. The Thinkubator Media Cohort Model is a unique systematic process curated to help address the needs and concerns of women in STEM. It is based on our years of proprietary research and represents our findings and experience with women in academic, private and public sectors.
The cohort model emerged in the 1990s as a popular framework for educational leadership programs in corporate and academic environments. It involves creating a team of cohorts who learn and grow together. This approach provides cohorts several advantages to improve their learning and training while providing support and accountability. It also helps nurture and develop skills such as community building, so-called ‘soft-skill’ development, and leadership training.
It is not unusual for a lab to have fewer women than men, and our research confirms that many women in the STEM fields feel they lack a network of like-minded female colleagues and mentors. The Thinkubator Media Cohort Model helps to fill that void and provide current and future female STEM leaders with the resources, support, and mentoring that are key to building the reputation needed to increase opportunities, grant funding, and institutional profiles.
Thinkubator Media seeks to help transform not just the individual but to implement real change throughout the organization.
Internally, we seek to empower and support women, giving them the experience and bandwidth to be recognized for their work and leverage their recognition and success to seek leadership positions and advancement opportunities. Thinkubator Media supports your female faculty by creating a space to advocate for themselves with their managers and peers.
By empowering cohort members to participate in internal collaborations and promote their work and contributions, your organization and institution will continue to grow and develop a reputation as an organization that supports women in STEM.
Externally, we will prepare cohorts to be the top candidates to speak on specific topics when major networks, online publications, and television shows seek a subject matter expert. The program also helps prepare and promote cohorts to speaking and presentation opportunities at conferences and trade shows, promoting themselves, their research, and their organization as forward-thinking thought leaders in the STEM space.
Thinkubator Media provides organizations with the capacity to focus solely on supporting a cohort as they work through training modules, messaging development, and other tools and techniques uniquely aimed explicitly at promoting each woman and their research.
The Thinkubator Media Cohort Model will make it easier for decision-makers, both within the organization and externally, to highlight members of this select cohort on their platforms and programs. Increased empowerment and recognition of females in STEM programs provide many benefits to employees and their organizations by helping to:
